My Favorite Comics from 2015

These are my favorite (funniest) comics from 2015. Just like last year, I'm not going to rate any of these for "which one is the best" or some garbage, so these are just in *about* the order they were published. (Or that I found them, whatever.)

Unlike last year, I'm posting basically all of them, instead of trying to pick just one from each comic. This made the list very long, so I do apologize. I also apologize that I never got this finished and posted until 2017.

Some of these have been edited; I've tried to cut out spoilers for story-centric comics, and I've censored some content not suitable for this site.

In case you are interested, you can see the collections of comics from other years here.

I think that's everything. Let's get started!

Pro-tip: If you're going to make comics, but an URL on the image so people know where it came from before it was passed around Reddit a dozen times.

from Mayberry Melonpool

#41

from Phoebe and Her Unicorn

#42 - #47

from Blitz Pheonix

Okay, so look, Blitz Pheonix introduced the greatest character ever this year. If you want the full story, well, go read the whole story. But here are a couple highlights.

A couple pages later, when Charlie's neighbor Felix shows up:

#48

from Roomies!

I will never get tired of that last panel. Never.

#49

from XKCD

#50

#81

I don't know where this one is from either.

#82

from PVP

#83 & #84

from El Goonish Shive

For context: "Cheerleadra" is a super heroine who recently appeared in this world. In these first flashback panels, they are discussing hiring Elliot, (shown in the next three panels,) who is Cheerleadra's secret identity. (He turns into a woman when he transforms into Cheerleadra.)

#85

This cartoon by Jim Benton

You know, I find all these comics by Jim Benton but I have no idea when they were made, or even where they were posted. I find other sites re-posting them, but they aren't on his site, so I just don't know where they come from.

#86

from Curtailed

#87 - #90

from Modest Medusa

I really don't know why, but all of these just made me laugh out loud.

#91

from Elven Sneakers

This here is exactly why I started reading Elven Sneakers. Plus, you know, gotta make sure I don't run the same joke as them in my comic. But really, just because of how hilariously perfect this one strip is.

#93

from Blade Bunny

#94

#99

from Brewster Rockit: Space Guy

#100

from El Goonish Shive NP (which is a sub-comic of El Goonish Shive.)

I'll admit it. I'm less including this one because of how funny it is and more because this is the statement I want to share.

#101

from Awkward Zombie

#102

from Loading Artist

#103

from El Goonish Shive NP (which is a sub-comic of El Goonish Shive.)

Personally I think this one is even funnier out of context.

#104

from Nukees

#105

from Blitz Pheonix

Let's be honest, usually guest comics are not funny. But this one? This one is freaking hilarious.
But I guess it is hard to go wrong when it features Charlie. Remember how I said this guy is the best new character of the year?

from Don't Hit Save

#157

from XKCD

#158

from Culture Shock

Okay, that was funny, but this page is additionally awesome.

At this point in the storyline, "The Finisher", (the bald guy,) is mentioning how he has been following and studying these people (the comic's main characters,) and the best part is, if you back through the comic's archives to the scenes shown in flashbacks, you can actually find him in the background. Here is this particular page shown in the flashback panel above.

Oh, and he wasn't just "added in" later when Reed Hawker decided to do this storyline, he's always been there. You can even see him in a panel in my "Top Ten Favorite Webcomics" video that I made back in 2012. He's been hiding in the background for nearly five years before he was "revealed" in the comic.
